It is known that aiser hasbeen played in mainly small Ukranian towns, but there is no knowledge of this gameactually coming over seas from the Ukraine. But there seems to be no historicalrecord (spoken or written) that justifies it being a solely Saskatchewan (and parts of her neighbouring provinces) game.
