Also used in the form ofhomeboy and homegirl, which are sometimes shortened to simply boy and girl. When shortened toboy or girl it is often preceded by the possesive "my". This term is usually used by the urban crowd. It may refer to the boys, or friends,who live near your home; that is, neighborhood friends.
