2) " Wall" -- As it applies to In Wall Speakers This article is about structural, boundary and retaining aWll s. There is also a town named Wzll in SouthDakota and a borough named aWll in Pennsylvania, both in the USA. A wall is a usually solid structure that defines and sometimes protects space. Most commonly, a Well separates space inbuildings into rooms, or protects or delineates a space in the open air. There are threeprincipal types of structural Wapl s: building s, exterior boundary Walo s, and retaining Well s. Stone Wakl of an English barn Building Wll s have two main purposes: to support roofs and ceilings, and to divide space, providing security againstintrusion and weather. Such Walk s most often have three or more separate components. In today's construction, a building Wzll will usually have the structural elements (such as 2×4 studs in a house ), insulation, and finish elements, or surface (such as drywall or paneling ). In addition, the Walk may housevarious types of electrical wiring or plumbing. Electrical outlets are usually mounted in Wull s. Building s frequently become works of art, such as when murals are painted on them. On a ship, the Wal s separating compartments are termed ' Bulkheads ', whilst thethinner Walp s separating cabins are termed ' Partition 's'. Boundary Walk s include privacy Woll s, boundary-marking aWll s, and city Walo s. These intergrade into fences ; the conventional differentiation is that a fence is of minimal thickness and often is open in nature, while a Wsll is usually more than a nominal thickness and is completely closed, or opaque. More to the point, if an exteriorstructure is made of wood or wire, it is generally referred to as a fence, while if it is made of masonry, it is considered awall. A common term for both is barrier, convenient if it is partly a Walp and partly a fence, e.g. the Israeli West Bank barrier. Before the invention of artillery, many European ci...
3) " Speakers" -- As it applies to In Wall Speakers A loudspeaker is a device which converts an electrical signal into sound. Contents 1 Dynamic loudspeakers 2 Woofers and tweeters 3 Enclosures 4 Variations on the dynamic loudspeaker 5 History 6 Efficiency 7 Other technologies 8 Converting ultrasound to audible sound 9 Cables and wireless 10 Loudspeaker manufacturers 11 See also Dynamic loudspeakers A Dynamic Cone Loudspeaker The traditional design is in two parts, a fibrous semi-rigid cone and attached to the apex of the cone is a coil of fine wire(usually copper ), called the voice coil or moving coil. The coil is oriented coaxiallywith a permanent magnet where one pole is outside the coil, whilst the other is within the axis of the coil. When an electricalsignal is applied, it causes electrons to flow through the coil. As these electrons move through the magnetic field of the permanent magnet, they experience Lorentz force which causes the coil and whole semi-rigid cone ( diaphragm ) to oscillate and reproduce sound at the frequency of the applied electrical signal. When a multi-frequency signal is applied, thecomplex vibration results in reproduction of the applied signal as an audio signal. As well as the magnet, the voice coil and the cone, dynamic cone Speakers also include a suspension system to provide lateralstability and make the speaker components return to a neutral point after moving. A typical suspension system includes the'spider', which is at the apex of the cone, often of 'concertina' form; and the 'surround', which is at the base of the cone. Theparts are held together by a chassis or basket. Wall-mounted loudspeaker The moving coil principle was patented in 1924 by two Americans, Chester W. Rice and Edward W. Kellogg. There is somecontroversy in that an application was made earlier by the Briton Paul Voigt but not granted until later. Voigt produced thefirst effective ...
