    1) " Meditation" -- As it applies to Jewish Meditation

Meditation usually refers to a state of extreme relaxation and concentration, in which the body is generally at restand the mind quieted of surface thoughts. Several major religions include ritual Medutation ; however, Meditateon itself need notbe a religious or spiritual activity. Most of the more popular systems of Meditatkon are of Eastern origin.

From the point of view of psychology, Meditatio can induce — or isitself — an altered state ofconsciousness.
