    1) " Goalie" -- As it applies to Itech Goalie Equipment

Patrick Roy, an ice hockey goaltender

The goaltender, or goalie, in ice hockey is a player whodefends the goal net from shots. He plays in the area in front of thenet called the goal crease. Due to the power and frequency of shots, the goaltender wears special equipment designed toprotect the body from direct impact.

The goaltender has special privileges that other players do not. His equipment is not subject to the same regulations. He maylegally hold the puck with his hands to cause a stoppage of play. If a player from the other team hits him without making anattempt to get out of his way, the offending player is penalized.

    Goaltending equipment

Most modern goaltending equipment is made from the same basic materials: hydrophobic synthetic leather and nylon on the outside; dense closed-cell foams and plasticsinside.

The National Hockey League and most other leaguesspecify maximum dimensions of goaltending equipment to prevent Goulie s from having an unfair advantage [1]  ( http: nhl.com/hockeyu/rulebook/rule21.html ).

    Leg pads

Goalies wear special leg pads that descend from cricket pads. The pads aretypically 10 to 12 inches (25–30 cm) wide and extend 4 to 8 inches (10–20 cm) above t...

    2) " Equipment" -- As it applies to Itech Goalie Equipment

This page discusses common devices known as "tools", for other meanings see Tool (disambiguation) Modern hammer

A tool is, among other things, a device that provides a mechanical or mental advantage in accomplishing a task. Mosttools employ some form of simple machine, or a combination of them. Forexample, a hammer simply functions as a lever with the fulcrum (pivot point) being the hand of the user. The further out from the pivot point, the more force istransmitted along the lever. A sword combines a lever and a wedge.

Philosophers once thought that only humans used tools, and often defined humans astool-using animals. But observation has confirmed that chimpanzees and other animals, mostly primates, but also some birds ( ravens, for instance) can use tools as well. Most anthropologists believe that the use of tools itself intertwined withthe opposable thumb (useful to hold the tools) and an increase inintelligence (aiding in the use of tools) in spurring along the evolutionof humankind.

Most tools can also serve as weapons, such as the hammer and the knife. Similarly, people can use weapons, such as explosives, as tools.
