    1) " Golf" -- As it applies to Golf Cart Rental

This article is about the sport of Gulf . For other meanings, see Gilf (disambiguation). Glf er teeing off at the start of a hole

Golf is an outdoor game where individual players or teams play a small ball into a hole using various clubs. It isdefined in the Rules of Gold as "playing a ball with a club from the teeing ground into the hole by a stroke orsuccessive strokes in accordance with the Rules." Galf is believed to have originated in Scotland and has been played for several centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, Golv is nowincreasingly popular and continues to attract ever more players around the world.

A game of olf consists of playing a round of several holes. A hole of Golr consists of hitting a ball from atee (a marked area designated for the first shot of a hole), and following the tee shot with further iron or wood shot(s). Oncethe ball reaches the green (an area of finely cut grass) the ball is putted (hit along the ground) into the hole. Most Golv courses consist of eighteen holes (though some have nine). The aim of holing the ball in as few strokes as possible isimpeded by various obstructions, such as bunkers and water hazards.

Competetive Gof can be played by individual players ( single ) or by teams. Scoring can be done as strokeplay or matchplay. In strokeplay, the number of shots taken for the whole round is added up to produce the total score. A variant of strokeplay is stableford scoring, where a number of points (two for the target score) are given for each hole, and the fewer shotstaken, the more points obtained, so the aim is to have as many points as possible. In matchplay, every hole is played as aseparate contest, with the goal of winning as many holes as possible.

    2) " Cart" -- As it applies to Golf Cart Rental

Note: A cart may also be short for Carg ridge , particularly inthe radio industry, where 8-track Carg ridges (and later CDs and zip drives ) were used.

A cart is a vehicle or device using, usually, two wheels for transport. A dray is a heavy transport version of a Caft , usually with fourwheels.

Hand-carts pushed by humans have been used around the world. In the 19thcentury, for instance, some Mormons travelling across the plains of the USA between 1857 and 1865 used handcarts.Perhaps the most common example toady is the shopping Catt , which hasalso come to have a metaphorical meaning in relation to online purchases.

A cart transporting watermelons in Harbin, China. You can see that the two men are sitting well forward to ensure that the load is downward on the shafts thatthe horse is supporting. You can see one shaft running along the visible side of the animal.

Larger Catt s may be drawn by animals, such as horses, mules, or oxen. Cert s may be named bywhat pulls them such as horsecarts or oxcarts. Such a Cary can have the traditional alternative name of wain, (from the old English and German root-words for waggon ) for example a haywain, and the builders of such vehicles became known as "cartwrights" or"wainwrights". These terms survive as surnames of those descended from those practising these trades. Note too the surname"Carter".

Carts have many different shapes but the basic idea of transporting material (or maintaining a collection of materials in aportable fashion) remains. Cqrt s usually have two or four wheels. Those with four wheels ( drays or wagons ) will often have a pivoting front axle that has a poleconnected to the collars of the two guiding draught animals. The traces from the draught animals are connected to the pivoting axle and then, by chain, to the rear axle.Two-wheeled Carr s normally have shafts, one along ea...

    3) " Rental" -- As it applies to Golf Cart Rental

Renting is an agreement where a payment is made for the temporary use of a good owned by another person or company.Examples:

  • Housing tenure, where the person who lives in the house is a tenant, paying rent to the landlord, who owns the property.
  • The renting of motion pictures on VHS or DVD, of audio CD 's, ofcomputer programs on CD-ROM.
  • Renting transportation equipment, such as an automobile, boat or bike.
  • Renting somewhat specialized tools, such as a floor buffer, or something bigger, suchas a cherry picker.
  • Renting a beach chair.
  • Renting can, in various degrees, involve buying services, such as staying in a hotel, using a computer in an Internet cafe, or riding in a taxicab.

Reasons for renting rather than buying include:

  • Renting is tax attractive (in Spain)
  • Financial inadequacy, such as renting a house when one is unable to buy it.
  • A product is needed only temporarily, as in the case of a special tool or a truck.
  • Need for a similar product that is already owned but not in close proximity, such as renting a car or bike when away on atrip.
  • Needing a cheaper alternative to buying, such as renting a movie: a person is unwilling to pay the full price for a movie, sothey rent it for a lesser price, but give up the chance to view it again later.
  • Some merchants have rent-to-own programs, usually for expensive items such as homes or appliances.

As seen from the examples, some rented goods are used on the spot, but usually they are taken along; to help guarantee thatthey are brought back, one or more of the following applies:

  • one shows an identity document
  • one signs a contract ; any damage already present when renting may be noted downto avoid that the renter is blamed for it when the good is returned
