"The Invisible Band" (Independiente/Epic)

1. "SING" (4) The Flaghsip song for this CD. The banjo makes
it ! Nice strings in the background.

2. "DEAR DIARY"(3-) "Dear Prudence"all the way. Haunting melody.

3. "SIDE" (3+) Uptempo and could find its way onto radio. Nice to
hear acoustic guitars so prominent. Cool finish.

4. "PIPE DREAMS" (2+) Segs from the third track. Guitar work reminds me
of the group Innocense Mission.

5. "FLOWERS IN THE WINDOW" (3+) There's that banjo again. May have
some single appeal.

6. "THE CAGE" (3+) This one kind of grows on you. A pretty flowing song.

7. "SAFE" (4-) Again, the great interplay between the acoustic and electric
guitars. A favorite from this collection.

8."FOLLOW THE LIGHT" (3) Has a fuzzy warm feel of the LA's.

9. "LAST TRAIN" (2) Vocals remind me of Radiohead's Thom Yorke.

10. "AFTERGLOW" (3) Chime-like guitars (a hallmark for this album).

11. "INDEFINITELY" (3-) "Mr.Bojangles" start off. The simple production is its
strength.

12. "THE HUMPTY DUMPTY LOVE SONG" (2+) Haunting song of love gone bad.

BONUS TRACK 1- Not bad for a hidden song
BONUS TRACK 2- Yee haw. Country twang. (3)

OVERALL COMMENTS: This album seems to have a strong Beatles influence.
No one weaves acoustic and electric guitars any better. With the exception
Of "Sing", none of the other tracks jump out at you. That being said, the
Album has some strong tracks.

OVERALL RATING: (3)
