"The Hogyssey" (Artemis Records)

1. Jupiter's Moon 3-) Nice tempo and intermittent tremelo. Vocals remind me of Robbie Williams.
2. This Is America 3) Opening reminiscent of the Who's "I Can't Explain". Nice rhytmn guitars. Modulating finish.
3. I Want To Live (4+) Thrashing guitar intro. Nice reverb on the vocals. This could work as a single in the Alternative format.
4. Earthquake (3+) Alice In Chains meets Stone Temple Pilots. More driving guitars. Kick Butt drumming !
5. A Real Waste of Food (3-) Guitar sounds of Robert Fripp. Nice change in the middle.
6. Perpetual Drag (3+) Again, the drumming is excellent. A possible "sleeper". I hear keyboards.
7. Dancing On My Own (2) Strawberry Fields like intro. A different turn for this LP.
8. And It Is (3+) Bowiesque vocals. Refrain reminds of the Stones' "Brown Sugar".
9. The Hogyssey (2-) Funky intro w/2001 Space Oddity theme.
10. The Strangest Dream (1) Big Ben Beginning- wild vocals.
11. At Least I Got Laid (2+) Mott The Hoople would be proud. Guitars out front as usual.
12. The Horror (2+) Nice transition from previous track. Reminds me of Rocky Horroo (maybe The name's origin).

OVERALL COMMENTS: A guitar driven album. I really like "I Want To Live" Rated perpetual drag high also.

OVERALL SCORE: 3.0
