ROBBIE WILLIAMS

(click CD to pruchase)
"Sing When You're Winning" (Capitol)

RATINGS (1-5) Weak to Strongest (+Push,-Pull)

1. Let Love Be Your Energy (4) Reminds me of Oasis, vocals hidden behind instruments. Also sounds like Jellyfish.
2. Better Man (4) Great vocals. Reminiscent of Love And Money. Possible single!!
3. Rock DJ (3) Bubble gum rap dance track. Possible single.
4. Supreme (2+) A"I Will Survive" take off. Where's Gloria Gaynor? More rap intermingled.
5. Kids (4) Funky guitar bass work and nice vocals by Kylie Minogue. Should be 2nd single
6. If It's Hurting You (4) Reminds me of "The The". The MOST CREATIVE track. Best
Recording !!
7. Singing For The Lonely (4) Nice to hear acoustical guitars with Williams vocals. (3rd single)
8. Love Calling Earth (4) Great vocals. This one will grow on you. Tears For Fears meet
Wham.
9.Knutstard City Limits (2) Down a few notches compared to the rest of the album.
10.Forever Texas (2-) The first"Rockin"track won't chart. Has a guitar lead!
11.By All Means Necessary (2-) Has a nice orchestrial accompany- ment.
12.The Road To Mandalay (2) Not sure which direction this song goes in. Nice vocal layering in parts.

OVERALL COMMENTS: Very popish but in a good way. Too Top 40 For Adult Alternative .Good Vocalist a la George Michael. Some dance music may have music may have multiple hits.

Album over Average 3.1- 3.3
