RADIOHEAD

(click to purchase)
"Amnesiac" (Capitol)

RATING (1-5) Weakest to Strongest (+ Push,-Pull)

1. PACKED LIKE SARDINES IN A CRUSHED TIN BOX(3)-Initial programing reminds me of "Kid A". Interesting vocal layering.
2. PYRAMID"-(3)- Nice back and forth between vocals and piano. Nice orchestrial background.
3. PULK/PULL REVOLVING DOORS-(3+)-More techno programming reminds me of some of the work on "O.K. Computer".
4. YOU AND WHOSE ARMY-(4-) Hark! I hear a guitar ! I like the hook (if you can call it that!).
5. I MIGHT BE WRONG-(4)- Intro reminds me of Depeche Mode's
"Personal Jesus". "Optimistic"for this LP.
6. KNIVES OUT- (3)- Interesting guitar progression.
7. MORNING BELL/AMNESIAC(3+)- Chimey melody. An ear grabber.
8. DOLLARS AND CENTS-(3)-Nice use of orchestral backing on this track. Nice mix of vocals.
9. HUNTING BEARS- (2+)- Catching guitar effects.
10.LIKE SPINNING PLATES-(3+)-Phenomenal effects.
11.LIFE IN A GLASS HOUSE-(3)- Has a jazz feel. Great horn work. New Orleans on acid.

OVERALL COMMENTS: Radiohead is defined by their fierce artistic integrity as exampled by "O.K. Computer.".,"Kid A" and this new CD. This is an extension of "Kid A". Thom Yorke's vocals are great as always.

OVERALL RATING- 3+
