"No Name Face" (DreamWorks)
1.Hanging
By A Moment (3+) The single! I like the see saw guitars. Doesn't
stand out for me
2. Sick Cycle Carousel (3) Could be the second single (?)-Haunting
strings- Classic "cruising song".
3. Unknown (3-) another song that utilized the hip-hop percussion
sounds. Good hook.
4. Somebody Else's Song (2+)- Nice to hear the mandolin sounds similar
to "Hanging By A Moment".
5. Trying (3) Vocals remind me of Creed. Creative with nice strings.
6. Only One (3) A pretty song. I like this one. Mellower than the
others.
7. Simon (3) has a "country" bent until the thrashing
guitars.
8. Cling And Clatter (3) Funky guitar effects. Possible single.
Guitars supercede the vocals.
9. Breathing (3+) a stand out for me. I'd like to see this get radio
play.
10. Quasimodes (3+) Nice to hear these driving distorted guitars.
May get rock format airplay. Reminds me of Oasis.
11. Somewhere In Between (3+) a ballad that could find Top 40 airplay.
Reminds me of the Goo Goo Dolls.
12. Everything (2+) another follow-up like "Somewhere In Between"
OVERALL
COMMENTS:
A group that's sound is similar to the Goo Goo Dolls. This music
isn't my own cup of tea but I can see where a number of tracks will
get airplay. (Rock and Top 40)
